Join local artist and educator Sarah Nott to learn two printmaking techniques, including Japanese Suminagashi!
Suminagashi is a 12th-century Japanese printmaking technique that is sure to surprise you! By floating ink on water and adding chemicals you will create several beautiful pieces of marbled paper to take home. Come learn this simple and beautiful method.
All ages and levels invited to participate in this event.
Fee includes all supplies, including basics to take home with you, and a 10% discount on all art supplies day-of workshop.
Sarah Nott is an artist and art educator who currently teaches at Portage Northern High School, where she's been loving her job for seven years. She was the ceramicist in residence at the Kalamazoo Art Institute for the 2018/19 year but has an equal love for all media! More information at sarahnott.weebly.com.
