Come to a special Saturday story time and meet award-winning, best-selling, Michigander author Kelly DiPucchio as Grace travels to the nation's capital.

One book purchase required per family to attend and meet Kelly.

Children under 10 are welcome to join their adult with a specially priced $5 ticket. Proceeds from sale of children's tickets will go directly toward donation of books to communities in need.

Many of Kelly DiPucchio's books will also be available for purchase at this event. She will sign an unlimited number of onsite-purchased books and up to two pre-purchased copies of her work for ticketholders.

When Grace learns about the three branches of the United States government, she and the rest of the student council put the lesson into practice as they debate how to spend the money from a school fund-raiser. Should they buy new sports equipment? Books for the library? Instruments for the music room? The agruments continue as they travel to Washington, DC, for a field trip. Exploring government buildings and national monuments, Grace feels closer than ever to her dream of becoming president someday. But she and her classmates have a lot to learn about what it means to serve the needs of people, especially when the people want such different things!

Kelly DiPucchio is the bestselling author of many books for young readers, including Grace for President; Gaston; Antoinette; Poe Won't Go; Everyone Loves Cupcake, and Zombie in Love. She lives in Southeastern Michigan.
