Women's History Month

Happy Women's History Month! March is one of my favorite months, because it celebrates some of the coolest people to ever live on this planet. The weather might not be the best this month, but there is a lot of learning to do. For me personally, Virginia Woolf might be the coolest lady to ever live, but she definitely has some stiff (pun intended-ish) competition.

It's hard to narrow down the list of my favorite books by women, but I'm going to try! Here are a few favorites from several different categories that I love and recommend.

Graphic Novels

Reading Slump

Even as booksellers and bibliophiles, we all go through periods where, even though we want to, we just can't find the time or energy to read. It can be frustrating to know that there are SO MANY GOOD BOOKS out there waiting to be read, and there is SO LITTLE TIME. And yet, your brain can't seem to do its job, and it feels like you're missing out on so much.

Never fear: this is normal. It happens to everyone. A reading slump is okay, and it's frustrating, but I've found a few ways to help myself get out of that mode that I'll share now!

Summer Reads

For whatever reason, I always find myself in a reading funk during the winter months. Be what it may, the cold, damp, dark days don't allow for me to do my best thinking, or reading, or writing, or...well, anything. But, now that it's sunny and gorgeous out again, I am burning through books like wildfire, and am on an absolute literary high! It's kind of the best possible thing. I've read a lot lately, but let's talk about the last five books I've read (all of which have been satisfying and not disappointing, so no snarky reviews *this time*. Sorry!)

Best Beatles Books

My favorite person EVER is Paul McCartney, and I'm obsessed with The Beatles. I think both the music and the history behind the Beatles are fascinating, and that they are a topic which very much deserves to be explored. I have had a rapidly growing collection of Beatles-related books for as long as I can remember, and so I feel like now is a good time to share what some of my favorites happen to be. It's quite hard to narrow down all of the ones I've read, and to determine what my favorites are, but here goes nothing!
